STAFF at the Ely branch of Boots will be going that extra mile for Macmillan Cancer Support on August 31.
An exercise bike donated for the day by Littleport Leisure Centre will be placed outside the Market Street store and staff will take turns to cycle non-stop between 9am-5pm.
The first hour is being taken on by store manager Paul Seaton and he is confident his team will be able to complete up to 80 miles throughout their feat.
He said: “I do a bit of cycling myself so hopefully Ill be able to put in a good performance. There will be a pedometer set up on the bike and we will be looking for somewhere between 60 and 80 miles.”
The store is hoping to raise about £3,000 for their efforts, with buckets for donations in store on the day.
