A PENSIONER whose body was found floating in a river on Thursday died of natural causes, coroner's officers believe.
Stephen Davidson, 70, was walking by the river Ouse close to the Environment Agency building at Kiln Lane, Ely, when he had some form of heart trouble and died on the spot.
Investigators could not say how long his body had been in the river before it was discovered by a member of the public, at around 9.30am, but confirmed Mr Davidson died of natural causes. An inquest will be held at a later date.
