Generous Sybil Burrows celebrated her 90th birthday on Saturday by asking partygoers to donate cash to the Milton children's hospice rather than buy gifts. Mrs Burrows, from Beech Court, Littleport, decided on the party fund-raiser after hearing that services were under threat. She said: "I thought it was such a shame for the dear children to suffer because of lack of money". So far she has collected £125 and thanked everyone who contributed so generously.
