AN Ely-based internet sports retailing company, was the first port of call for the task-masters at Channel 4's Big Brother last week as preparation for the hit TV show's next 'shopping budget task' got underway.

The BB crew contacted Click Sports looking for sports equipment for the BB house, but swore Click Sports staff to secrecy as to the exact nature of the task.

Susan Harrison, marketing manager for Click Sports, said: 'We are thrilled that we've been able to give BB a helping hand with sports equipment, but we had to ask lots of questions about what exactly the housemates were going to do with it so that they got the best - and safest - kit for the job. Of course, BB was very reluctant to divulge any secrets, but we did get enough info in the end. Needless to say, we've had to promise BB not to tell anyone what exactly is planned for the task."

"While we were sorting things out, we had a bit of a chat about some of the housemates, and I was assured that they were taking good care of Pete, and are not giving the housemates too much alcohol, and are trying to think up fun tasks to lighten the mood.

"I did ask if they had any plans to put in a new housemate, but funnily enough, they wouldn't answer the question."
