Ely District Beavers made the most of the half-term holidays by attending an activity weekend at Copley Scouting Centre last weekend.
The beavers had the run of a four acre wooded site complete with headuqarters, toilets, showers, and ready-prepared camping and cooking areas.
Dozens of Beavers from across the Ely District joined together to enjoy a range of activities including crafts, archery and ‘backwoods’ cooking. For many it was their first time under canvas.
Annabel Line, mum of William, from the 3rd Ely pack, said: “We had such a tired, boy, but he had a brilliant time. He really enjoyed the campfire songs. Thank you all for giving them such a good weekend.”
District camps are a regular feature in the troop calendar and for more information, visit www.elydistrictscouts.co.uk
