THE family service was conducted by the Rev Jim Mullin. He welcomed people from the Countess of Huntingdon Church in Ely, who joined us for the morning service. The offering was taken by Jim and Rachel. The singing of hymns was followed by the puppets telling the story of Samuel and Eli and how he was called by God. This was followed by the Bible reading telling the story of Jesus and the children. Prayers were said for all the children in toddler groups throughout Ely and then Anne told of what was happening in our own Jelly Tots.
Don told a little bit more on Faith Rocks and Sam spoke about assemblies. Kate then spoke of her gap year and David led the prayers. Chris then spoke of communication and how God will speak to us through the Bible. Katie then closed the service with prayers and more singing. Jim thanked the people of the Countess Church for coming and wished future happiness to Katie and Ben for their forthcoming wedding.
