THE united family service on Sunday was led by Peter Cockerton. The music group led the singing and members of the Girls' Brigade sang. Girls from the brigade were presented with their awards and two of them read the Bible lessons. The theme of the service was 'God is our heavenly father'.

The offering of £94 was donated to Children in Need. The afternoon service was taken by Brian Mills on the subject of being obedient to God.

The prayer and Bible study group met in Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mr and Mrs Cockerton. The Girls' Brigade will meet on Friday at 6pm when the guest will be the Link missionary Susan Caddy.

The service next Sunday at 3pm will be led by Brian Westrup.
