THE morning service for Blossoms and Bygones was conducted by the Minister, the Rev Jim Mullin.

Jim welcomed everyone and gave out the notices. Jacky, Bob and Alan were the musicians. Happy Birthday was sung to Penny and Bob. Elizabeth began with reading Psalm 146 and then singing, which was followed by speaking about freedom and prayers. Bernie then spoke about May Ling in Cambodia. Jo, Daniel and Ann spoke of working in a carpet factory in India. Don spoke of the people cutting stones and how they were chained for two years for cutting them incorrectly. This was followed by prayers.

Joy spoke to the children about chocolate, Chadda and the chocolate factory in Malawi. Rachel and Gabrielle took up the offering. Elizabeth gave a prayer of thanks. Don was thanked for helping in Faithrocks. Penny read from Matthew 5, 13-16. Jo gave a prayer of thanks. Steve spoke about the abolition of the slave trade. Jim read Isaiah 62. Jim's theme for his sermon was 'building a better world one sip at a time'.

The service closed with Holy Communion. Jim, Don and Pauline led the prayers.
