MORNING service for the 40 of community was conducted by the minister, the Rev Jim Mullin. June, Eddie, Alan and David were the musicians. Joy welcomed everyone and gave out the notices. Don then spoke of Richard's forthcoming trip to India. Jim opened the service with a reading from Psalm 34. After the singing of the first hymn, Sara and George took up the offering. Happy Birthday was sung to Eileen. After prayer, Jim spoke to the children about the rich man who gave a fraction and the poor lady who gave everything that they had to Jesus. Richard then read from the Bible (Exodus chap: 16 vv 1-21). Jim then said prayers for the several people who are ill at the moment and who could not be with us and Elizabeth spoke of calling to the Lord in times of trouble and when we need His help, how He will be there for us. For his sermon Jim spoke of 'what has God ever given to us and what have we ever given to God'. The service then closed with a final hymn and prayer.
