THE morning service was conducted by the minister the Rev Jim Mullen. David, Bob and Eddie were the musicians and Ann lead the singing.
Joy welcomed everyone and gave out the notices. Happy Birthday was sung to Joy and Stefan. Joy, Eileen and Elizabeth gave a sketch about family and about the abolition of the slave trade, followed by singing and prayers.
Elizabeth spoke about being able to serve and not being slaves. Jim spoke about the film Amazing Grace.
Alice and Gabrielle took up the offering. Prayers were said by Elizabeth. She then told about her family "Pinder" who was involved in ending the slave trade and how we need each other to serve each other.
The service closed with a hymn and prayer. Next Sunday will be a family service.
