MORNING service was conducted by the minister the Rev Jim Mullin. As Anne led the singing, musicians were Bob, David and Jackie. Jim began with prayer and Happy Birthday was sung to June. Jim then spoke to the children and asked them if they knew about Jesus having brothers or sisters, and how He might react to them, and how they might behave towards their brothers or sisters. As the congregation sang, Rachel and George took up the offering. Jim then prayed for the children as they left for their various groups. He then read from the Bible, Acts Chap; 16 vv 6-15, and spoke about world mission and the church world wide. Various people in the village were prayed for and a prayer was said for the church at Harston. He took as the theme for his sermon, 'a people of commitment'. The service then closed with Holy Communion, after which, Anne sang and the final hymn was sung and a final prayer was said.
