THE morning service was conducted by the minister, the Rev Jim Mullin. Joy welcomed everyone and gave out the notices. The musicians were Jackie, David, Eddie, Bob and Alan helped by Daniel, with Anne leading the singing. Happy Birthday was sung to Anne.
The first hymn was sung and this was followed by prayer, closely followed by another hymn.
Jim then spoke to the children about friends in Wisconsin, USA, and the many kind things that they do in praise.
Rachel and Gabrielle took up the offering, with Jim giving thanks, followed by open prayer. After the singing of two more hymns, Jim read from the Bible, 1 Chronicles, Chap: 29 vv 9-20, from which he took the theme for his sermon as, 'David's prayer of praise'.
The service closed with Holy Communion and prayers from Jim and Joy. The final hymn was sung.
