Morning service was conducted by the minister who began by reading Psalm 66. Joyce and Alan were the musicians. Happy Birthday was sung to Gavin, George and Peter. Jim welcomed everyone and gave out the notices. After singing "Tell out my Soul" and "The Lord's my Shepherd", John spoke about rejection. Tanya and Gabrielle took up the offering. Jim prayed for all the people here and abroad. Jim spoke about Giants and Goliath to the children - (David killing him with five stones in the name of the Living God). Jim prayed for the children. We sang "Holy Spirit we Welcome" and "All to Jesus". Jim prayed for Craig and Sally who were married yesterday and for Stuart whose cousin has died, Peter and Trish and the Holiday Club. Jim prayed and gave thanks for the people in the village. Ann read the bible reading - Luke 4, 18 to 20, from which the theme for Jim's sermon was "Anointing Prophets, Priests and Potentates." The service ended with singing "Thine be the Glory" and a prayer.
