A 12-month driving ban was imposed on Ely man Robert Young this week, when he admitted an offence of drink driving.
Young, 42, of New Barns Road, Ely, committed the offence when behind the wheel of a Proton car in Wisbech on September 10.
Forensic tests showed his blood contained 89 mgs of alcohol in 100 mls of blood, when the legal limit is 80 mgs.
Young, who was fined £140 with £43 costs and a £15 surcharge, told Fenland magistrates he had been stupid and would never commit the offence again.
