A BADLY burned body was discovered by fire-crews near Littleport in the early hours of this morning (Monday).
Police and fire crews were called to reports of a body, believed to be that of a man, on fire shortly after 5am at land near White Bridge Farm on Ely Road between Littleport and Ely.
Police are treating the death as unexplained while they carry out further investigations at the scene, but a spokesperson stated that they are not looking to speak to any third-parties in connection with the incident.
A post-mortem will now be carried out on the body, which has yet to be identified, in a bid to establish a cause of death.
