DRUNKEN Simn Phillips had been visiting his wife in Ely when plice fund him staggering utside her hme.

"He was struggling t stay n his feet, he was shuting and his speech was slurred," city magistrates heard frm prsecutr Matthew Bradbury.

"He walked dwn the side f the huse, prpping himself up n the wall and the fence t keep his balance."

Frty-year-ld Phillips cntinued t shut and swear in Nene Rad.

"A plice fficer was less than tw metres away, but Phillips was shuting at the tp f his vice and neighburs were lking ut f windws," added Mr Bradbury.

Because he was aggressive and refused t turn rund, a plice fficer had t use frce t get Phillips int handcuffs. He was warned abut his behaviur, and then arrested.
