Babylon ARTS in Ely is to host a new season of band workshops on Thursday evenings starting February 22.
The workshops are designed to give young bands the chance to hone their skills and develop their ideas over a series of one hour sessions. They will include two free trips to a recording studio and a chance to perform in public.
The sessions have been funded thanks to a grant from the Big Lottery Fund and they will take place at Centre-E on Barton Road in Ely.
Nathan Jones, of Babylon ARTS, said: “This project is ideal for anyone wishing to meet other musicians to form a band.
“It will also be perfect for groups who would value some extra support and a place to develop their skills.
“We ran our first series of workshops in November and December and the sessions were very productive and great fun for all involved.
“I hope more musicians will take advantage of this great opportunity.”
The project will also offer young people aged 12 to 18 the opportunity to sign up for a series of evening workshops which will look at song-writing, recording and performing.
The sessions will enable participants to earn an Arts Award qualification.
