Viva Youth Theatre’s Phantom of the Opera was voted best youth theatre production at the National Operatic and Dramatic Association’s East region awards.
And the group’s production of Les Miserables was voted runner up in the same category, completing an impressive double-header for the Soham-based company.
And there was more good news for Viva as actress Ellie Bovingdon picked up the best young performer award for her portrayal of Eponine in Les Miserables.
Also at the awards were the Littleport Players, who were in the running for best pantomime for Red Riding Hood, as well as for a technical award for the group’s set and make up for The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
