Celebrity chefs Jean-Christophe Novelli and Alex Rushmer will be attending Ely’s Food and Drink Festival, it was announced this week.
Michellin star winner Novelli and Master Chef finalist Rushmer will join TV chef Valentine Warner at the festival, which takes place on May 3-4.
The three celebrity chefs will be joined by a variety of experts showcasing their skills and passing on their knowledge in a cookery demonstration area.
Tracey Harding, of East Cambridgeshire District Council, which is organising the event, said: “We truly have a stellar line up to our Food and Drink Festival with Valentine and Jean-Christophe leading the way to be brilliantly supported by local chefs such as Alex Rushmer, Luke Chambers and Calvin Holland.
“Given this is only the second year of the event – the talent who will be displaying their skills over the May bank holiday is fantastic. Our aim for the festival is to make it an opportunity for people to learn from the best how to devise and cook dishes they can enjoy in their own home – with this year’s line up there are sure to be some great home cooked meals being made.
The Food and Drink Festival will form part of the bigger Eel Festival which will be taking place across the whole weekend.
All the favourites will be taking place from the annual parade, a full programme of arena events in Jubilee Gardens including folk music, pottery workshops, dancing, and historical displays.
