ATTACKS on Cambridgeshire police officers rose by as much as 43 per cent in the last 12 months.

The news comes in a year when Cambridgeshire police achieved the biggest drop in violent crime in the UK and the second biggest fall in crime overall.
A dramatic improvement in detection rates also put the force up near the national leaders.
Violent crime fell by 22 per cent - 3,239 fewer offences - and crime overall by 9.3 per cent - 6,855 fewer offences.
Cambridgeshire chief constable Julie Spence said: "By any standards the force has shown that it can compete with the biggest and best in the country.
