Fire crews from Ely were called to tackle the blaze at about 1am at the village's recycling centre on Short Road after reports from residents of flames coming from the small site.
Arsonists had set light to one of the large recycle bins and the flames had spread to a nearby fence. The attack is the second incident of arson in the village within the last month.
Crews used two hose reels to extinguish the flames and had left to return to base by 3am.
