FIRE crews were scrambled to a farm in Little Downham on Monday evening after arsonists set fire to bales of straw.
The incident happened at around 8pm at a farm in Third Drove with one crew from Ely Fire Station called to reports of straw on fire in an outbuilding.
Firefighters arrived to find that the flames had spread to 10 bales in the building and they acted swiftly to extinguish the blaze before it spread further.
The fire was extinguished by 9pm with crews returning to Ely shortly after.
