Mayor of Ely Lis Every and District Councillor for Sutton Lisa Stubbs took a trip to Elean Power Station in Sutton ahead of National Apprenticeships Week.

They met with senior operations manager Bernel Alberga to help spread the word on the positive influence the apprenticeships have had around East Cambridgeshire ahead of the nationwide celebration of apprenticeships which begins on Monday March 14.

Elean Power Station, which is taking on two apprentices itself, is the largest straw-fuelled power station in the world, and the first in the UK.
