CAMBRIDGESHIRE police have appealed for the public to be extra vigilant following the finding of two car-bombs in central London.

"There is nothing to suggest any connection with Cambridgeshire," said assistant chief constable, Mark Hopkins. "But it is important that members of the public remain vigilant and report any unusual packages, vehicles or activity in their communities or elsewhere."

Any suspicions should be reported to the anti-terrorist hotline number, 0800 789321 or to Cambridgeshire police.
