Former BBC newsreader Angela Rippon was the special guest as Greys of Ely’s managing director was awarded Coach Manager of the Year for the second time.
Richard Grey, who has been working for the coach company for 16 years, picked up the award at the national routeONE Operator Excellence Awards held in Birmingham on Wednesday
After picking up the award, Mr Grey said: “To be a finalist amongst the very best within our industry nationally is an achievement but to be awarded the title for a second year is a truly humbling experience.
“Whilst the award is for coach manager it is also a reflection of all the hard work the staff at grey’s put in to provide high quality coach hire.”
The judges said: “Our winner is someone who has consistently demonstrated that he has a keen eye for detail coupled with logistics planning that has enabled the successful delivery for the business.”
