ELY Rotary Club will be hosting An Evening with Bridget Kendall at Ely's Hayward Theatre on Saturday at 7.45pm.
BBC diplomatic correspondent Bridget Kendall, was brought up and educated in Cambridge, and will chronicle her fascinating career through broadcasting.
She will also take audience questions.
There will also be music from INVOCAL, an acoustic four-piece band from Northampton.
Rotary Foundation chairman Michael Judkins said: "We believe this will be a uniquely enjoyable occasion, which will also enable money to be raised for world-wide projects such as polio eradication, which the Rotary Foundation organises.
Bridget will speak about her fascinating career as one of the country's top political reporters and before she returns to take questions, we have an excellent half hour of musical entertainment.
We think the evening will provide very good value for money."
INFO: Admission is £11 per person or £95 per table of 10. Application forms to reserve places are available from Burrows Bookshop in Ely High Street. Some tickets may be available on the door.
