Youngsters from King’s Ely Acremont and Nursery took a walk on the wild side last week thanks to a visit from a local educational mobile farm experience.
Ark Farm paid the pupils a visit before they broke up for the summer holidays and brought a whole host of animals – including donkeys, pygmy goats, piglets, lambs, chickens, ducks and geese – to the city school.
A spokesman said: “The animals themselves proved just as happy grazing and scratching around the spacious two-acre garden at King’s Ely Acremont and Nursery in Ely’s Egremont Street too!
“The children were able to learn lots of fascinating facts and get up close to a whole host of animals and poultry during the visit, including a miniature donkey called Declan, two pygmy goats, two piglets, three lambs, chickens, ducks, geese – and not forgetting Kiboko the super friendly black Labrador.”
