Air ambulance called following collision in busy Ely street

A motorist suffered a fractured ankle following a collision in Ely this afternoon (Friday).

The East of England Ambulance crew was called to Broad Street shortly after 3pm to reports a collision involving two cars.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance was also called and landed in Cherry Hill Park.
The motorist, a woman, in her 40s, was given pain relief and placed on a stretcher before being transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, by ambulance.
There were minor delays on Broad Street while recovery crews cleared the road.
