Air ambulance called after man collapses

A man was rushed to hospital after collapsing today (Wednesday).

The Magpas air ambulance was called at 8.45am after reports that a man in his 40s had collapsed.

A spokesman for Magpas said the incident occurred in the Ely area.

She said: “The Helimedix provided specialist care for the patient, before accompanying him in a land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital - monitoring his condition all the way.

“On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.”

An East of England Ambulance crew also attended the scene.
