Actor and former director Roger Rix will break out of retirement to entertain at Skakespearean supper

Roger Rix, an actor and previous director and marketing manager at the Tolethorpe Shakespeare Company in Stamford, will be breaking out of retirement to entertain at a supper on Thursday April 19 at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Witchford, in aid of the church extension fund.

Roger Rix, an actor and previous director and marketing manager at the Tolethorpe Shakespeare Company in Stamford, will be breaking out of retirement to entertain at a supper later this month.

Held on Thursday April 19 at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Witchford in aid of the church extension fund, the event starts at 7.30pm.

April is the month when we remember William Skakespeare who was born and died on the 23rd of the month and Roger, among other speakers, will be entertaining with a talk about the Bard.

He will also be delivering some of Shakespeare’s most famous speeches. Dinner and entertainment costs £12 or £10 for concessions.

At a previous supper held in the church hall, comments included (in answer to ‘What was good about the event?): ‘everything’; ‘an excellent meal’ and ‘very friendly’.
