THE A14 has been re-opened after an overturned lorry caused chaos in the morning.

Police along with ambulance and fire crews were called to an incident just after seven o'clock this morning when a lorry shed its load having collided with another vehicle.

The lorry's load, around twenty tons of bricks, was left strewn all across the eastbound carriageway causing havoc with morning commuters, forcing police to set up several diversions.

The incident however, has now been resolved and the eastbound road between Quy and Six Mile Bottom has been re-opened. The driver of the lorry was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with the extent of his injuries as yet unknown.
