AN OVERTURNED lorry has caused chaos on the A14 with the eastbound road set to be closed for hours.
The lorry's load, about twenty tons of bricks, was left strewn across the carriageway with the resulting obstruction forcing police to close the road between Quy and Six Mile Bottom while they remove the bricks.
The initial incident happened at around 7.30 this morning during the height of rush hour leaving many motorists on the run into work stranded. Police expect the clean up operation to take a number of hours and have set up a number of diversions. The west-bound carriageway remains open.
