CUSTOMERS at the Ely branch of Oxfam are being encouraged to seek out the early symptoms of World Cup fever - by snapping up footballs now in stock at the High Street store.
A selection or Fair Trade footballs are now on sale, along with rugby balls and a volleyballs, all priced at £6.99.
The sale is being held to mark 'Fair Trade Fortnight', which started on March 6 and ends on March 19.
The Ely shop stocks Fair Trade-marked goods, including children's games and activities sourced in line with Oxfam's ethical purchasing policy. Top seller is the 500g tub of CafeDirect 5065 instant coffee.
Shop manager Dorothy Clark said: "Fair Trade is a major force on the high street now and we hope that Fair Trade Fortnight will encourage even more shoppers to make the switch and also see that there is more to it than coffee, cotton and chocolate.
