After two years of singing together the Littleport Community Choir gave their first public concert to raise money for refugees stranded in Greece.
The musical event, held in the Salvation Army Hall, raised more than £200.
Barbara Brown gave a talk in the interval about her experiences when she went with the Salvation Army to help the refugees and gave a slide show showing children sleeping on pavements and with no change of clothes.
Joining the choir for the evening was lucky to have Jill Enefer join them for the evening who gave a rendition of Ava Maria, plus three songs from Oliver.
The Community Choir was formed two years ago by Gail Newton and Barbara Brown.
They have sang in church services but this was the first concert they have given.
• There will be a cake stall outside the Co-op in the Main Street on Saturday July 16. The proceeds will go to the funds for the refugees in Greece.
