We’re delighted to announce that Louise Bateman is indeed the lucky winner of the Ely Standard New Year competition.
Her £500 prize money will soon be on its way to her.
Louise got the call a few minutes ago from Editor John Elworthy to confirm she had won the cash.
“I think Louise was a bit surprised,” he said. “I got the feeling she enters several competitions and to get a call at 6pm saying you’ve won such a tidy sum must be a bit of a shock.”
Hard luck to those who entered and didn’t win – we’ll have more competitions for you as the year progresses.
In the meantime, once again congratulations to our winner Louise.
