More than £4,200 worth of funds was donated by The Fordham Charity Group at the weekend.
The money, which was raised by concerts, donations and Shaun Wiseman’s garage bookshop (which made £160) was presented to a number of charity organisations.
Among the cheques awarded was £740 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, £700 for Wicken Coronation Band, £700 for Seb’s Legs (Tree of Hope), £600 for Arthur Rank Hospice, £600 for Macmillan Cancer Support, £200 for The Victoria Hall, £120 for Fordham Day Centre, £120 for Fordham Primary School, £120 for Fordham pre-school, £120 for Fordham 1st Scouts and Guides and £240 for St Nicholas Hospice.
Money for the St Nicholas Hospice donation was boosted thanks to a quiz night held by Fordham Royal British Legion.
