A man has died after a medical incident at a popular car boot sale in the Fens. 

Police were called at 8.10am on Sunday (August 16) to reports of a "medical emergency" at Skylark Car Boot, on Manea Road, in Wimblington. 

Officers and paramedics attended but sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene, Cambridgeshire Police confirmed.

A spokesperson for the force said: "The death has been deemed non-suspicious and has been handed to the coroner."

The East of England Ambulance confirmed it also attended the incident.

A spokesperson said: "We were called at 8am yesterday to a medical emergency on Manea Road in Wimblington.

"Two ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and the Magpas Air Ambulance were sent to the scene. Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”

"Thank you for everyone's help and support today. Especially the people helping to give CPR," a spokesperson for Skylark Car Boot added. 

"This was a very sad medical incident and we are thinking of the gentleman's family at this very sad time".
