GPS equipment worth tens of thousands of pounds has been stolen from a Cambridgeshire farm.
About 22 GPS display screens were stolen from Hainey Farm on Barway Road, near Soham, in a raid that took place between 7pm on June 16 and 6am on June 17.
The GPS units were taken from tractors and other machinery, which were also damaged during the thefts.
Sergeant Tom Nuttall of Cambridgeshire Police's Rural Crime Action Team said: "This is a substantial theft that has had a significant financial impact on the victim’s business.
"These systems are vital for modern farming and their loss can severely disrupt operations and the national food chain.
"We believe this type of crime is often linked to organised groups who specifically target rural locations for high-value GPS equipment."
Officers are continuing their investigation, which includes reviewing CCTV footage and working with national partners.
They are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Barway Road overnight or who may have seen suspicious vehicles or activity to come forward.
Police are also urging farmers and rural businesses to review their security arrangements.
This includes removing GPS units and display screens when not in use, parking machinery in secure or well-lit areas, installing CCTV and alarm systems, recording serial numbers and marking equipment for identification.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cambridgeshire Police via the website using reference 35/45112/26 or call 101.
