A village community has been left "shocked" and "saddened" in the wake of two teenagers been arrested on suspicion of assault following a suspected stabbing.
Police were called to Hundred Acre Way in Red Lodge, near Mildenhall, at 7.20pm on Thursday, June 4, following reports of a fight involving two teenage boys, during which a knife was seen.
Abd Baz, who lives in Red Lodge, said: "It's worrying because this is a relatively safe place and you don't expect that to happen in a family-friendly area."
Mr Baz also said it's "sad to hear" and neighbours called the incident "shocking" and "scary".
Others living in the area were surprised to learn of the incident and called it "insane".
One boy was taken to hospital by his family with stab wounds to his hand and was then arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
The second boy was found later that evening in Beck Row and arrested on the same charge.
He was first taken to hospital for treatment to stab wounds to his hand and leg.
The cordon was lifted on Friday afternoon.
A nearby fair was cancelled on Friday night with a spokesman saying the event was not going ahead due to the weather rather than the incident.

A police spokeswoman said: "Officers will be providing reassurance through high-visibility foot patrols in the area and encourage residents to approach officers if they have any concerns or information.
"Police believe that the parties involved are known to each other and are not seeking anybody else in connection with the assault at this time."
