- A driver has been arrested after two women were killed in a crash on the A10.
- The head-on collision, between an HGV fuel tanker and an Audi, took place at about 6.40pm on Thursday (February 12) between Ely and Littleport.
- The HGV left the road and came to rest in a nearby field, while the Audi was pushed 100m further up the road.
- The driver of the Audi, a 25-year-old woman, and the front seat passenger, a 71-year-old woman - both from Littleport - were both pronounced dead at the scene.
- The HGV driver, a 40-year-old man from Basildon, was checked over by paramedics but was uninjured.
- He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail until May 10 pending further enquiries.
