Students and staff at an East Cambridgeshire school gathered to mark their annual Act of Remembrance.
Ely College and Bishop Laney Six Form honoured the service and sacrifice of those affected by conflict past and present at a service on Tuesday (November 11).
Throughout the week, assemblies and tutor time activities have encouraged reflection on the themes of service, sacrifice, and remembrance.
Principal Simon Warburton said Remembrance is an "important part of life" at Ely College.
"It gives our students the opportunity to reflect on the courage and selflessness of others, and to consider the values of service and community that continue to shape our world and our place in it," he added.
Students who are members of Scouts, Girl Guides, cadets from the Army, Air Force, Cambridgeshire Constabulary and St John’s Ambulance, were invited to wear their uniforms.
At 11am, the College community joined together to observe the two-minute silence.
The moment of reflection was preceded by the sounding of the Last Post, followed by the Exhortation, read by Mr Warburton.
The service is a longstanding tradition at Ely College and forms part of its ongoing commitment to character education and community engagement.
