The National Trust is continuing its project to replace a bridge described as "deteriorating and difficult".
The charity has joined forces with Cambridgeshire County Council to fund and construct a new and accessible bridge over Burwell Lode along the Lodes Way cycle path.
The bridge is set to not only improve access for pedestrians, but also wheelchair users, pushchairs and cyclists, who will be able to explore much further into the landscape.
The current bridge has step access, and is deteriorating and difficult for cyclists to use.
It is not accessible for anyone in a wheelchair or pushchair.

The plans for the new bridge include a gradual incline that cyclists, wheelchairs and pushchairs will be able to comfortably navigate.
Cambridgeshire County Council hope to have the new bridge completed in 2026.
The new bridge will still provide a view across Burwell and Adventurers' Fens, and the current structure will remain in place until the new one is completed.
In 1999, the Wider Wicken Fen Vision was launched, which set out at 100-year plan to increase the nature reserve around Wicken Fen.
The new crossing at Burwell Lode will support the work, which aims to create more space for nature, secure carbon, and improve access.
The funding and construction work for the new bridge is from Cambridgeshire County Council.
The National Trust is hosting a community drop-in session at Wicken Fen's Learning Centre, which is behind the Docky Hut Cafe, on November 6, from 12pm-3pm and 4pm-7pm for people to learn more about the project.
