An abandoned canal boat whose owner is believed to have died is to be removed from a Cambridgeshire river.
The boat, which is located at the end of Pegasus Way, Ely under the railway bridge, caused concern to a local resident who feared potential pollution.
Lester Johannes shared with the Ely Standard photos of items that were loose on the boat in June and are now missing, including a petrol can and two paint tins.
He added that some of the items could be seen in the water between the boat and the wall.

The Environment Agency have since contacted someone connected to the owner, and are arranging for the boat to be removed.
An Environment Agency spokesman said: “Responsibility for boats like this barge on the Great River Ouse rests with the owner.
"We contacted a representative of the owner, and understand they are making plans for its removal.
“We have no evidence the boat poses a risk of pollution.
“Anyone who suspects pollution in our waterways can contact the Environment Agency’s 24-hour incident hotline: 0800 807060.”
