A TikTok star and her girlfriend, who is a professional footballer, visited Addenbrooke's Hospital to bring joy to children at the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit.
Grace Keeling, known as GK Barry on social media, and Ella Rutherford, a striker for Ipswich Town, went to the ward to meet and speak with teenagers who have been diagnosed with cancer.
The pair visited on July 31 and also spoke with members of staff on the cancer ward.
Teenagers shared their experiences of having cancer with Ella and GK Barry, who grew up in Soham, and showed them the support they receive on the ward.
All of the bedrooms have "comfy and cosy" soft furnishings, bespoke furniture, a TV and gaming facilities, and the ward has a recreation room for patients to use as a social space.
The current unit will soon be moving into the new Teenage and Young Adult ward when the Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital opens on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
The new hospital will be a specialist hospital with world-leading research and clinical excellence.
Work has already started on the hospital, and young adults across the East of England are helping to design the future space.
The TikTokker, who has amassed 4.1 million followers and 263.3 million likes on the app, became an ambassador for the Teenage Cancer Trust charity in January 2025.
Both GK Barry and Ella Rutherford said that the Teenage Cancer Trust unit at Addenbrooke's Hospital is a "special place" for young people with cancer.
