June 24-30 is officially World Wellbeing Week in the UK, and Littleport is wasting no time in promoting the wellbeing of its people, says Lyn Gibb de Swart.
All the usual events, both one-offs and regular, are available as usual of course.
Littleport’s proactive town council says: "We are very excited to be a part of it again alongside other organisations and individual providers.
"Find time to focus on you, whether that’s taking time to read a book, going for a walk, spending time with friends or enjoying your favourite hobby."
On Thursday (19) it’s the increasingly popular monthly Thursday Afternoon Music Club, from 2-4pm, at the Littleport Ex-Servicemen’s Club (CB61PZ).
And at the club on Friday (20) is Sara Alexander’s quiz night charity fundraiser which starts 7.30pm. £2 per quizzer and 2-6 in a team.
On Saturday morning, from 10.30-12.30, Joanne Coe and Lindsay Cross have organised a giant jumble sale which is fundraising for ThePort youth club. This takes place at the Youth and Community Centre in Cornfield Lane (CB61EX).
Jo says: "We have everything – clothes, shoes, books, toys, keyboards, games, household items and more - all are only 50p each!"
On Saturday night, it’s Around Midnite, a great group who will perform from 9pm at the Littleport Ex-Servicemen’s Club. £4 members and £6 guests.
At The Crown, you can enjoy Karaoke (Timebank meet there at 10am on Thursday (19) all welcome) and The Plough and Harrow is always welcoming.
And there’s The Swan too.
There are some free classes at Littleport Leisure throughout Wellbeing Week.

On Sunday( June 29) at 3pm, the Littleport Band rounds it off, with a Summer Concert at the Littleport Ex-Servicemen’s Club.
Tickets on the door £10, concessions £7 children free.
A voluntary group and every penny goes into the kitty.
Last week they came 34th out of 71 brass bands in the Saddleworth competition and gratifyingly won £125 at one village for 2nd best 3rd section band.
