Multiple emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to a crash between a taxi and a lorry.

The two vehicles crashed on the A10 at Milton this afternoon (May 1) at the northbound carriageway heading towards Ely.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "We were called at just after 1pm this afternoon with reports of a collision on the A10 at Milton between a taxi and a lorry.

"Location was the northbound carriageway heading towards Ely.

"All emergency services attended, including air ambulance.

"The road was closed in both direction but re-opened by 3.30pm."

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed that two patients were transported to Addenbrooke's Hospital for further assessment and care.

They said: "Two ambulances, a paramedic car, three Hazardous Area Response Team vehicles and East Anglian Air Ambulance were called to the A10 near Milton this afternoon following reports of a road traffic collision."
