An Ely-based fitness instructor has been named among the best in Cambridgeshire.

Caitlin Hamit from FRESH. has been shortlisted in the regional finals of the 2025 Muddy Awards.

The luxury lifestyle site Muddy Stilettos runs the annual awards programme for independent businesses across 35 different counties.

Nominations for the regional finalists were conducted between February 25 and March 13, and voting for regional winners will be until April 15.

Caitlin said she was "shocked" after learning she had been shortlisted for the regional finals.

"I was at home, and I got a message from my boss who sent me a screenshot of my name in the top five and I was so taken aback," she said.

"I felt pure shock and disbelief, but I'm so grateful for the support that I've had from people - it's been overwhelming.

"I've really been focusing on growing my career, so to be nominated for an award is just really special."

Catilin is among 20 freelance fitness experts who teach classes at FRESH., a multi-award-winning fitness and wellness studio located in the heart of Ely.

Based in Broad Street, Sara Ford and Alice Loombe established FRESH. as an online platform just as the first lockdown kicked in, before getting their studio ready for the beginning of 2021.

Voted Yoga and Pilates Studio of the Year at the 2023 Muddy Awards, the studio distinguishes itself by offering a "diverse range of fitness and wellness classes" in a welcoming, friendly and up-beat environment.
