A famous musician and author brought a night of "warmth and wit" to Ely.
The "marvellous" Michael Ball visited St Mary's Church in January to give a talk about his new novel, The Backstage Betrayal.
He was interviewed by Reverend Catherine Dixon of Ely Methodist Church who, always aided by her doodle dog Percy, has previously conducted similar conversations with Rick Astley and Lorraine Kelly.
Topping & Company Booksellers, who organised and hosted the event, said: "What a night it was, full of warmth and wit, as "marvellous" Michael recounted hilarious tales of highs and lows in a lifetime of musical theatre.

The next Topping-hosted event will see bestselling and award-winning author Elly Griffiths give a book talk at the same venue on Tuesday February 11.
As the writer of the Dr Ruth Galloway Mysteries; the Brighton Mysteries and several standalone thrillers, she has won the CWA Dagger in the Library and the Edgar Award.
Now, she's back with The Frozen People, an original, transporting and characterful new historical crime novel.
