A plan for a new crossing at the A10 bypass, southwest of Ely, where it connects with the A142 Witchford Road is being put to the public.

The A10 is the main road that connects Ely and Witchford and provides connections to the Lancaster Way Business Park and wider destinations along the A142.

The existing crossing over the A10, north of the BP roundabout, are not controlled by traffic signals - making it difficult for anyone trying to cross the road.

There are several designs for the proposals - two bridge options and one signal crossing option.

The consultation findings will help inform a future decision to be made by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and Cambridgeshire County Council regarding the preferred option to be taken forward.

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority is funding the project and Cambridgeshire County Council are responsible for delivering the scheme.

Both Councillor Alex Beckett, chair of the Highways and Transport Committee at Cambridgeshire County Council and Dr Nik Johnson, Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, are encouraging the community to have their say.
