Cambridge is set to host its inaugural Shiny New Model festival showcasing new and exciting bands from across the nation.
The event is being organised by Cambridge Junction and independent gig curators, Green Mind Gigs this September.
The special one-day music festival will be held across all Cambridge Junction arenas, promising a day packed with performances from a line-up of artists that are both raw and push the boundaries of contemporary music.
Featured performers include Dream Wife, a band recognised as one of the top live acts in the country.
Their performances are described as spirited and committed, as well as being strong advocates for the dispossessed.
Porij, known for their infectious pop-electronica and melodic rhythms, were handpicked following their successful show at SXSW.
Also gracing the stage are Opus Kink, who are said to exude a unique energy with their eclectic mixture of chunky guitars, vocals, and horns.
Other bands include Ugly, a Cambridge-based band with a mishmash of different influences, and Night Tapes, a London band who reportedly deliver textured guitars and punchy electronica.
The line-up doesn't stop there, with The Oozes offering a riot of sound and colour coupled with strident gender politics.
Lemondaze, a now London-based band rooted in Cambridge, offers classic shoegaze vibes, while Blue Cinema turns heads with visually striking performances in blue jumpsuits, coupling it with a big sound.
Performances by upstarts Grace Calver, The None, Headcheck, and Sean Trelford round off the day.
Trelford, who turns 18 in September also grabs attention as his songs suggest he has lived a lifetime, attracting industry interest from all corners.
Tickets for the Shiny New Model festival can be purchased from the Cambridge Junction website.
Don't miss out on this sensational inaugural festival, your opportunity to experience some of the most innovative live music the scene offers.
